William’s Knife & Trade Co. (WK&TC) is not responsible for the possession or use of products in unauthorized areas. By purchasing any item from WK&TC, you agree that you accept full legal responsibility for owning the item in your specific jurisdiction. It is the responsibility of the Buyer, not the Seller, to ascertain and obey all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws regarding the ownership and use of items purchased.

Buyer further warrants that he/she is 18 years of age or older and understands that knives and tools are dangerous if misused. Buyer expressly agrees to indemnify and hold harmless William’s Knife & Trade Co. and its associates. All items are sold for utilitarian or collection purposes, not as weapons.

SECTION 1 - GENERAL SALES & PAYMENT POLICY

While our primary business heritage is conducted in-person, we offer digital checkout for shipped orders and local pickups. Transactions are considered final upon the exchange of payment and goods.

• In-Person: We accept Cash, Check, or Card (via mobile reader).

• Online/Shipped: We utilize a manual invoicing system via PayPal. Payment must be received in full via the provided invoice before any items are pulled from inventory, boxed, or shipped.

SECTION 2 - ONLINE & AGE TERMS

By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age. You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, nor may you violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to regional knife length or mechanism restrictions). A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of your Services and potential refusal of future sales.

SECTION 3 - ACCURACY OF INFORMATION & INVENTORY

We strive for accuracy across our digital catalogs and specialty lists. However, since inventory is shared between our physical trade show presence and our online site, we are not responsible if information is not current. Prices and product descriptions are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to verify stock before confirming an order via invoice.

SECTION 4 - PRODUCTS & CUSTOMIZATION

Certain products (such as custom-engraved items or specialty trade goods) are unique. We have made every effort to display colors and images accurately, but we cannot guarantee that your device’s display will match exactly. Descriptions of products and pricing are subject to change at our sole discretion.

SECTION 5 - CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY & SAFETY

It is the customer's responsibility to regularly inspect their knife or tool. If you notice any part is loose, bent, or broken, stop use immediately. Continuing to use a damaged knife is dangerous and may void your warranty or cause injury.

SECTION 6 - REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS & MERCHANT FEES

• In-Person Sales: All sales are final once the buyer has inspected and accepted the item.

• Shipped Orders: All sales are final once the digital invoice is paid.

• Cancellations: If an order is canceled by the buyer after the invoice is paid but before shipping occurs, a 3% processing fee will be deducted from the refund to cover non-refundable merchant transaction fees.

• Defects: Returns or exchanges for hidden manufacturer defects are handled strictly on a case-by-case basis. You must contact us within 48 hours of delivery confirmation.

• Custom Items: Any item that has been custom-engraved, sharpened by request, or modified is strictly ineligible for return, refund, or exchange.

SECTION 7 - SHIPPING & RISK OF LOSS

• Address Accuracy: WK&TC is not responsible for items lost due to incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the buyer.

• Delivery: Our liability for the package ends once the carrier (USPS/UPS/FedEx) marks the item as "Accepted" or "Delivered."

• Legal Seizure: The buyer is responsible for knowing their local laws. We are not responsible for items seized by customs or law enforcement due to regional knife restrictions (e.g., gravity knives, switchblades, or blade length laws).

SECTION 8 - PROHIBITED USES

You are prohibited from using our products for any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to perform unlawful acts. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

SECTION 9 - DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES; LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Service and all products delivered to you are provided 'as is' and 'as available' for your use, without any representation, warranties or conditions of any kind, either express or implied, except for the Limited Lifetime Warranty specifically provided by WK&TC. In no case shall William’s Knife & Trade Co., its owners, or associates be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind arising from your use of any of our products.

SECTION 10 - INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless William’s Knife & Trade Co. from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.

SECTION 11 - GOVERNING LAW

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, USA.
